Wisdom on Wealth and Worth

I always strive to bring you wisdom on wealth and worth. Wisdom doesn’t just come from the successes I’ve had, it also comes from all of the mistakes I’ve made both in life and throughout my career.

This week is about the power of first impressions and perceptions. Yes, I now own a lot of nice things and I have a lot of luxury bags, sunglasses, shoes, etc… Even when I was making 75k/year, I didn’t buy these luxury items as I saw them as a waste of money, based on my income level. That all changed one month when I was around 26 years old.

I was working in pharmaceutical sales, and a new counterpart got hired on my team. She was 10-years older than me and had great success. I admired her effortless sales style and her experience. She asked me about a month after we met, “Why do you carry around a low-end, worn-out work bag 💼?” I said, “ because it works and fits all of my stuff.” She kindly nodded in a sisterly way and said, “Let me give you a piece of advice….when people see you coming into these high-end offices with a ratty looking bag and Payless shoes, it undermines the quality of what you are selling and your authority on it.”

At that age, I didn’t quite get what she was saying, but I agreed to her experiment to go buy a designer bag (@coach was the IT bag back then) and some heels made of something other than plastic and rubber 😝. SO I DID. After about 2 weeks of me carrying around what felt like a rare diamond, and wearing shoes that didn’t make my feet sweat and blister, an amazing shift occurred.

My senior counterpart saw me at a doctors office (client), and asked me if I noticed anything different. I DID! Gatekeepers started letting me back to speak with the doctors, and I even got selected as a team leader at the company. Of course it’s not like I bought magic accessories, by elevating my first impression and perception, I gave off a look, energy and feel of confidence and success.

We all assess people when we meet them. Review what your look, your attire, your accessories, your hairstyle say about you. Adjust those things to match where you want to be in your career versus where you are at now.

What to do When you Lose Your Motivation EP110

“Ugh I just don’t feel like it today.”

We’ve all been there and I bet many of you are feeling this right now.

By the way it isn’t human to be “unstoppable” and “so motivated” all the time. Anyone who claims they are or try to portray this image online are full of poop.

If I only worked, made the call, did the paperwork, went to the gym when I felt like it, I would be 500 pounds living in a tent surrounded by unused office supplies!!! Well maybe that’s a bit of an exaggeration but you get my point.

When we lose our groove it’s important to have a tool kit ready to help get our groove back. I’m going to help you build your motivation kit today.

Manifesting My Dreams at 19

How manifesting and deliberate action landed me in the city I dreamed of making my home since I was 13 years old.
💜
I get goosebumps just thinking about it. Fun fact, when I was in middle school, I was a model (certainly not a famous one). A gig took me and my mom from Chicago (my hometown) to Los Angeles when I was 13. Driving down the street, seeing all of the grand palm trees 🌴, I said to my self, “I’m moving here one day.”
💜
There wasn’t one day that went by, that I didn’t daydream about my life in Los Angeles. I wore Cali surf brands like Body Glove, highlighted my hair with Sun-In, cut out photos from Teen Magazine and made collages (having no idea they were vision boards). I didn’t wonder if I would live in LA someday, I knew I would.
💜
How the Universe works to manifest our dreams is incredible. Out of all of the colleges I applied to, got accepted at, rejected from, and visited…I ended up at Emerson College in Boston (a well-known school for TV, film, and journalism). Clear across the country from LA! I was accepted at Pepperdine in Malibu, but I still was drawn to choose Emerson. I still knew I would live in LA someday.
💜
Without knowing it, after choosing Emerson (truly Emerson chose me), they have an LA Program where if accepted you get to live in Burbank near the TV studios, and work as an intern in the biz. I knew that was happening, and it did. At 19, I was living in LA!!!!
💜
Manifesting works as long as we are taking the guided actions that work in precision with our dreams. You don’t need to know how it will happen as @manifestationbabe teaches; you just need to know for certain that it will.

What are you manifesting today?

Cashing in on Your Passion while Staying True to Yourself, with Guest, James Patrick, Award-Winning Fitness Photographer, Author, and Founder of FITposium EP109

Just because you are good at something doesn’t mean you have to do it for a living.

My lord do I wish someone told me this early in life!

So many people (me included) turn what we are good at into a career, never asking ourselves if we are truly passionate about it or enjoy it.

We may love the awards, praise, and accolades from doing these things we are good at or even naturally gifted at, but that doesn’t mean it’s what we are meant to do.

I am naturally great at conflict resolution and crafting corporate documents, while these are great skill sets, I am not passionate about either, in fact I don’t enjoy them at all.

The magic happens when we align our gifts with our passions. My guest on today’s podcast episode found that magic and he’s going to share how you can do the same.

James Patrick is an award-winning and internationally published commercial and editorial photographer and best selling author based in Arizona.

He has also worked as a business coach, marketer, website strategist, journalist and a public speaker covering a variety of topics including photography, marketing and business development.

James is the founder of FITposium, an annual conference, online education network and weekly podcast helping fitness entrepreneurs and talents launch their careers. As a writer he has authored two e-books on fitness entrepreneurship.

Money Mantra

I love this money mantra!!!!

Screenshot this 👆mantra and turn it into your phone’s screen saver. Every time it pops up on your phone, take a deep breath, exhale, and read. 💜

With repetition, these mantras will (whether you believe them to be true or not right now), sink into your subconscious and conscious mind. You will be surprised how powerful this is.

It’s one of my many strategies to making bank 💰!

Five Costly Mistakes Online Coaches are Making EP108

Nails on the chalkboard to me are when I see online coaches making common mistakes that are costing them a ton of money.

The coach in me wants to reach through the screen and say “nooooooo please stop, that’s not going to work,” and the fact I would look weird stalker level crazy if I did that.

I’m not suggesting that I know it all or that I’m perfect, I’ve just been doing this a long time and I know what works and what REALLY doesn’t. I want all of you to have massive success and financial freedom, so if I can help you avoid and stop common mistakes then you can reach your goals much faster and easier than I did.

So I figured the best way to reach the most humans and teach the five costly mistakes online coaches are making, is through my popular success podcast, ProjectME with Tiffany Carter.

Don’t Waste Your Mind!

We all know what wasting money means, but what does wasting your mind mean?

It means, don’t spend mental energy on people, places, things, or situations that don’t serve your greatest good. The more we are distracted in negativity, the less we are able to focus on our goals.

One way I can tell if I’m veering off course is if I feel drained, fatigued, bored, or zombie-like.

For me, that’s a BIG sign that I’m “wasting my mind” on something or someone that doesn’t serve me. Sometimes it’s easy to remove from my life, other times I need to create a plan of action to disconnect. Like if a client isn’t right for me, or if I signed a contract to speak somewhere, that I later realize doesn’t vibe.

So first be aware of what is draining you, then remove it and/or make an action plan to remove it ASAP. After all, “the mind is a terrible thing to waste”.

Escaping a Religious Cult to Using Her Gifts to Help Others Heal, with Guest, Angie Sanchez, Quantum Healing Practitioner and Past Life Regression Hypnotist EP107

One big thing I learned being a journalist is that everyone has a story and no one escapes life without pain.

I’ve probably interviewed well over 1500 people throughout my career, ranging from farmers, to a past president, to crime victims, to criminals, and celebrities. Regardless of status, income level, nationality, or education level, they all had a story and every story included some level of pain.

If we do the inner work and process this pain, we can use it as fuel and inspiration to make a great impact on others. If we chose to lay down and play victim, then what did we go through all of that pain for?

I’m eager for you to meet Angie Sanchez. She spent years in a religious cult and after escaping she did the deep healing work, now she helps guide others to awaken into who they are meant to be.

Angie Sanchez is a Certified Past Life Regression Hypnotist she is a trained Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique (QHHT).During a session, people travel through time and space visiting past lives, other dimensions and ultimately connect with Higher Self and the Universal Collective Consciousness. Angie has facilitated QHHT in group settings and one on one for hundreds of people.

Angie is a speaker, facilitates live workshops, group meditations, and works with people one on one to support them in their awakening process, live intentionally, joyfully and with purpose. She is also a mindfulness  + lifestyle blogger at  and is a self-love advocate.

We All Have a Story

What I loved most about being a television news anchor and reporter was hearing everyone’s story. I loved asking people both unique and simple questions, and never knowing what to expect them to say. In my 4 years at Emerson College as a journalism major, and 4 years at NBC, CBS, and E! News, I got the privilege to interview thousands of people from all walks of life, from celebrities to farmers, to a former President of the United States, to gang members, to single moms barely scraping by.

The one thing in common with all of them (aside from basic human functions), is that we all have a story, that’s filled with pain, joy, and everything in between.

There’s no amount of money, fame, or power to avoid having shit happen in your life. Whether you chose to stay small “safe” and hide or chose to play it BIG and go after your dreams, shit will happen either way. I promise you. Life isn’t meant to be all stress-free and easy. It is meant to be messy at times, and down-right blissful at times. Without those crappy times, we wouldn’t be able to experience the blissful times.

I leave you with one of my favorite questions to ask people: what are you avoiding doing in your life, in an effort to
Trust me, we all have an answer here, as I’ve been asking this question to thousands of people for more than 20 years!!! (Although I didn’t ask former President Bush Jr. this question, as I was too afraid at the time, I did ask several celebrities…yes they all had an answer.).

Poverty Mindset Versus Wealth Mindset, How to Transform Your Mind into Making Money EP106

Let me tell you a little story about two best friends.

One woman seemed to have a magic manifesting touch and anything she desired whether it be an incredible boyfriend to luxury trip to a Gucci bag, she got it and got it with ease, and often without having to even pay for it.

Her best friend, on the other hand, always got the “shit end of the stick.” She attracted a bunch of jerks, always had to work her ass off for anything she wanted, and never got anything for free, in fact, she was the one who bought other people things.

On paper these two ladies were quite similar, even their personalities were alike, yet their ability to attract what they desired were opposite.

Listen to this episode to learn what the key difference is between these two women, and how the one friend learned how to shift into a wealth mindset.
